Mr. Monk and the Leper is the tenth episode from the fifth season of the television series
Monk. The episode was broadcast in black & white as well as in color. Both versions are included in the DVD release.
Summary
Mr. Monk is hired by a shadowy client that requires his assistance to make his last wishes known. He claims that he wants Mr. Monk to break into the house and take some letters a girlfriend wrote him during an affair, so that his wife wouldn't find them. The client says that he suffers from leprosy and is pretending to be dead because he feels his current condition is so hideous that he doesn't want anyone to see him. Mr. Monk reacts in his usual fashion after shaking the hand of a leper.
Soon, it seems that the wife (Sarah Brown of General Hospital) of the "dead" man is willing to take him back, despite the affair and the leprosy, and Natalie meets a handsome British doctor. But all isn't what it seems to be, with the leper, his wife, or the doctor.
